Red marks R texts which are parallel with texts in A:

When the external parallel text has a close parallel text (i.e. H/P/Q or G/K) only one of these are noted.

Already from the beginning of the text in R there are consecutive parallels with A:

Ra1 Rb1 Aa1 Ab1
Ra2 Rb2 Aa2 Ab2
Ra3 Rb3 Aa3 Ab3
Ra4 Rb4 Aa4 Ab4
Ra5 Rb5 Aa5 Ab5
Ra6 Rb6 Aa6 Ab6
Ra7 Rb7 Aa7 Ab7
Ra8 Rb8 Aa8 Ab8

Redmarked line numbers indicate where the parallels are located. Ab4 connects to Ra6 and Rb7 to Aa4, otherwise the parallel texts are all found on side a of the tablets.

The sequence Rb7-119--Rb8-1, which comes close to the end of R - yet as the first of the parallel texts if A is the reference - possibly is a pattern similar to how in the 24th period of the E calendar corresponding parallels in G and K come at the beginning. Probably such pattens indicate the darkest time of the year:

Rb7-119 Rb7-120 Rb7-121 Rb7-122 Rb7-123 Rb7-124
Aa4-19 Aa4-20 Aa4-21 Aa4-22 Aa4-23 Aa4-24
Rb7-125 Rb7-126 Rb7-127 Rb7-128 Rb7-129 Rb8-1
Aa4-25 Aa4-26 Aa4-27 Aa4-28 Aa4-29 Aa4-30

Mea ke (Aa4-19--26, Rb7-121, 123-124) probably means 'darkness' (or something similar).

The text in R which resembles the glyphs immediately before Bb12-26 is located in line Ra5, and I have not found any parallel in A. If there is one, it surely must lie somewhere in the interval Aa8-67 - Ab4-14, probably at the end of line Aa8:

Aa8-67 Aa8-68 Aa8-69 Aa8-70 Aa8-71 Aa8-72 Aa8-73 Aa8-74
Aa8-75 Aa8-76 Aa8-77 Aa8-78 Aa8-79 Aa8-80 Aa8-81 Aa8-82
Aa8-83 Aa8-84 Aa8-85

I have redmarked not only the 'ghostly' vae (Aa8-79) but also the general type of glyph we recognize from the end of the year in B, E, G, and K:

Aa8-82 Aa8-85 Bb12-5 Eb7-38 Eb8-29 Ga7-14 Kb4-18

En passent we should notice how also in C this type of glyph is located at the end:

Cb12-22 Cb13-4

Looking in A (in the glyph catalogue) for this glyph type, I cannot find any at maitaki. But, when classifying glyphs I have put e.g. Aa8-58 and Aa8-64 at tapa mea:

Aa8-58 Aa8-64

This is where not only the parallel with R is seemingly vanishing, but also where the end of the text in H is located:

Aa8-55 Aa8-56 Aa8-57 Aa8-58 Aa8-59 Aa8-60
Aa8-61 Aa8-62 Aa8-63 Aa8-64 Aa8-65 Aa8-66

The curious 'hanging turtles' (Aa8-56--57 and Aa8-60) probably are the same ones as those in Ra4-13--14 and Ra4-16:

Ra4-11 Ra4-12 Ra4-13 Ra4-14 Ra4-15 Ra4-16 Ra4-17 Ra4-18
Ra4-19 Ra4-20 Ra4-21 Ra4-22 Ra4-23 Ra4-24 Ra4-25 Ra4-26
... ...
Ra5-101 Ra5-102 Ra5-103 Ra5-104 Ra5-105

I have redmarked Ra4-15 to indicate a probable parallel with Aa8-58 and Aa8-64. Ra5-101--105 we recognize as those glyphs which arrive before:

Ra5-203 Ra5-204 Ra5-205 Ra5-206 Ra5-207

In H we have similar glyphs, in a long sequence only the last part of which is shown here below:

Hb11-43 Hb11-44 Hb11-45 Hb11-46 Hb11-47 Hb11-48
Hb11-49 Hb11-50 Hb11-51 Hb11-52 Hb11-53 Hb12-1
Hb12-2 Hb12-3 Hb12-4 Hb12-5 Hb12-6 Hb12-7
Hb12-8 Hb12-9 Hb12-10 Hb12-11 Hb12-12 Hb12-13
Hb12-14 Hb12-15 Hb12-16 Hb12-17 Hb12-18 Hb12-19
Hb12-20 Hb12-21 Hb12-22 Hb12-23 Hb12-24 Hb12-25

Then come the glyphs we have looked at recently:

Hb12-26 Hb12-27 Hb12-28 Hb12-29 Hb12-30 Hb12-31
Hb12-32 Hb12-33 Hb12-34 Hb12-35 Hb12-36 Hb12-37
Hb12-38 Hb12-39 Hb12-40 Hb12-41 Hb12-42 Hb12-43
Hb12-44 Hb12-45 Hb12-46 Hb12-47 Hb12-48 Hb12-49

Hb11-50 is important, it is exhibiting at right a not very frequent glyph type (hura) and it is occuring in the texts parallel with Aa1-13--15:

- -
Aa1-13 Aa1-14 Aa1-15
... ... ...
Ha6-101 Ha6-102 Ha6-103 Ha6-104 Ha6-105
Pa5-67 Pa5-68 Pa5-69 Pa5-70 Pa5-71 Pa5-72
This sequence of glyphs does not appear in Q

The circle is closed, we have connected Aa1-15 by a long path of discussion to the end of the text in H, to the end of the text in B (and indirectly to the end of the calendar in E). We have assembled evidence for the mentioned texts having winter solstice as their subject matter.

Above we now can connect also to line a6 in H and to line a5 in P. Ra5 is also connected, and Ra4 has a parallel in Aa8. The groundwork for extensive comparisons has been laid.
