I am bringing these ideas
forward in order to comment on the Forgetful (the slack Manasseh
→ brass).
... we ought first to look at day
28 / 2 in the month of Manasseh ... The reference to Josua 13:7 is
not so self-evident, it has to do with how the land already at
an early time was divided between the 9 tribes and one of the
halves of the tribe of Manasseh ...
Only half of him was given Land
according to Josua 13:7 (→ 13
weeks = 91 days = 364 / 4). And 9½ * 28 = 266 (→ the day after
autumn equinox).
The beginning of Manasseh was in
September 2 (Ga4-18), and reasonably his half (28 / 2 = 14)
stretched up to and including September 15 (→
71 * 5 = 355). I.e., to Ga4-21 at
the Ribs of Adam in September 5 plus another 10 days
(glyphs), to Ga5-4 where β Leonis
(his tail) turned into β Virginis (Unarmed):

"After a reign of 55 years, the longest
in the history of Judah, he died ca 643
BC and was buried in the garden of Uzza,
'the garden of his own house and not in
the City of David, among his ancestors."
"According to Kings, Manasseh reversed
the centralizing reforms of his father
Hezekiah ... He restored polytheistic
worship of
Baal and Asherah in the Temple, and
sponsored the Assyrian astral cult
throughout Judah."
But is was also said that he 'repented'
- like Jonah we remember - who had been
swallowed by a Fish
(→ A
Fish named
Fomalhaut).
... The four bereaved and searching
divinities, the two mothers and their
two sons, were joined by a fifth, the
moon-god Thoth (who appears sometimes in
the form of an ibis-headed scribe, at
other times in the form of a baboon),
and together they found all of Osiris
save his genital member, which had been
swallowed by a fish ...
...Then the big Fish
did swallow him, and he had done acts
worthy of blame.
Had it not been that he (repented and)
glorified Allah, He would certainly have
remained inside the Fish till the Day of
Resurrection. - Qur'an, chapter 37
(As-Saaffat), verse 139–144.
But We cast him forth
on the naked shore in a state of
sickness,
And We caused to grow, over him, a
spreading plant of the gourd kind.
And We sent him (on a mission) to a
hundred thousand (men) or more.
And they believed; so We permitted them
to enjoy (their life) for a while. -
Qur'an, chapter 37 (As-Saaffat), verse

Sacred Book of the ancient Maya Quiche, the
famous Popol Vuh (the Book of Counsel)
tells of Zipacna, son of Vucub-Caquix (= Seven

that they want as a ridgepole for their house.
Zipacna alone carries the tree without effort to
the spot where a hole has been dug for the post
to support the ridgepole. The youths, jealous
and afraid, try to kill Zipacna by crushing him
in the hole, but
he escapes and brings down the house on their
heads. They are removed to the sky, in a

Carmenta we know from the historian Dionysus
Periergetis that she gave orcales to Hercules

canonical number, the ideal age which every

for example, the patriarch Joseph died. The 110
years were made up of twenty-two Etruscan
lustra of five years each; and 110 years
composed the 'cycle' taken over from the
Etruscans by the Romans. At the end of each
cycle they corrected irregularities in the solar
calendar by intercalation and held Secular Games

... In the present context
'mouth' has an additional connotation, given
that it refers in part to
Heart of Earth, the deity called 'Mundo'
today. This is the great Mesoamerican earth
deity,
the ultimate swallower of all living beings,
depicted in Classic Mayan art (in the Palenque
relief panels, for example) as an enormous pair
of jaws upon whose lips even the feet of great
lords must rest in precarious balance, and into
whose throat even great lords must fall. Turning
to the contemporary scene, daykeepers who visit
the main cave beneath the ruins of Rotten Cane,
the last Quiché capital, speak of the danger of
falling into 'the open mouth of the Mundo'
there, which is said to be more than four yards
wide ... |
