61 When his life was over the spirit of the finished old Sun would fly up to be the star at the pole.
Anciently this idea seems to have been documented in the pyramid of King Khufu in the era when Thuban (*212 = 292 = 266 + 26) had been the star at the north pole:
... The father does not disappear, but goes on being fulfilled. Neither dimmed nor destroyed is the face of a lord, a warrior, craftsman, an orator. Rather, he will leave his daughters and sons. So it is that I have done likewise through you. Now go up there on the face of the earth; you will not die ... But the current north pole star was Polaris and it had been carefully positioned at right ascension *26.6, which we should perceive to be a Sign of the connection with September 23 (day 265 + 1 = 266). Before the invention of a special sign for zero there was no decimal point. Therefore *26.6 here pointed at 266. And 266 meant 'one more than 80 + 185' (September 22, the autumn equinox). And before a special sign for zero there were hardly any signs corresponding to the operations of addition and multiplication. Which suggests we should perceive e.g. 266 not only as 26.6 but also as potentially equal to 26 + 6 = 32 and also to 26 * 6 = 156. And initially the number of nights were documented by notches - in the Spanish language notches means nights. Cfr for instance those 5 deep marks engraved on the shoulder of the man on the facial side of the mammoth bone calendar:
5 (front side) + 49 (back side) = 54 and 549 → 3 * 183. 500 + 49 + 39 (borders) = 588 and 58 * 8 = 464 → 16 * 29. And the body of the finished old Sun could be imagined as swallowed and relocated to the belly of his 'fish' (*26.6) - there to be recycled:
There was a week from zayin to ayin, from ζ (April 16, 80 + 26 = 106) to ο (Mira, *33). ... Tav is the last letter of the Hebrew word emet, which means truth. The midrash explains that emet is made up of the first, middle, and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet (Aleph, Mem, and Tav...). Sheqer (falsehood), on the other hand, is made up of the 19th, 20th, and 21st (and penultimate) letters. Thus, truth is all-encompassing, while falsehood is narrow and deceiving. In Jewish mythology it was the word emet that was carved into the head of the Golem which ultimately gave it life. But when the letter 'aleph' was erased from the Golem's forehead, what was left was 'met' - dead. And so the Golem died ...
When Metoro said the sky was moving (at the beginning of side b on the C tablet) it was presumably to call the attention of Bishop Jaussen to the fact that Cb1-6 coincided with the location of Mira. This blinking star was sometimes 'dead' (met) and sometimes emet and when the always very brilliant star Arcturus (295, *215) was at the Full Moon, then it would be known that the Sun should be at the twinkling Mira (*215 - *182 = *33).
'Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!' // How I wonder what you're at!'
And the beginning of side b on the A tablet could have documented a complementary view to that on the C tablet, viz. a view more in tune with the position of Easter Island south of the equatorial belt - i.e. with the Southern Fish in focus instead of Cetus:
