In G the 8 rau hei glyphs are arranged pairwise, with a double pair in line b1:

Ga6-22 Ga6-25
Gb1-20 Gb1-22 Gb1-23 Gb1-25
Gb4-9 Gb4-12

'Limbs' (or 'fins') do not occur in line b1.

Earlier, at tao, we found connections between tao and rau hei, and we should start our investigation from there. Maybe 'sacrifices' (rau hei) result in 'hot vitality' (tao). The first pair of tao glyphs arrives a quarter after winter solstice:

257
Gb1-7 Ga1-22 (87) Ga1-23 Ga1-24 Ga1-25 (90) Ga1-26
261 = 9 * 29

87 = 64 + 23 = 3 * 29 and 90 = 64 + 26 = 3 * 30. At Ga1-24 'atariki' ('the shadow king') marks the end of the dark time. The numbers for the tao glyphs (1-22 and 1-25) can probably be used to identify the rau hei sacrifices which 'quickened' - as I guess - the return of spring sun:

Gb1-20 Gb1-21 Gb1-22 Gb1-23 Gb1-24 Gb1-25

The distance in glyphs (and days) from Ga1-22 to Gb1-22 (respectively from Ga1-25 to Gb1-25) is 229 (equal to the number of glyphs on side a). But we should rather count the distance from rau hei to tao, following the expected train of events. 472 - 229 = 243 (= 3 * 3 * 3 * 3 * 3).

Maybe 243 can be regarded as a 'period of pregnancy' (which ordinarily takes somewhat less than 9 months).  243 / 9 = 27. Tao glyphs possibly indicate (and depict) the 'opening', the door through which new life (light) emerges. The 'vital spirit' from rau hei must first go to the 'underworld' (enter into mother earth) by way of the horizon in the west before being reborn in the east again.

If 243 nights is a standard for the distance between rau hei and rebirth, then we should investigate where we arrive if we move 243 glyphs ahead from the pair of rau hei glyphs towards the close of the henua periods:

27
Ga6-21 Ga6-22 Ga6-23
28
Ga6-24 Ga6-25 (166) Ga6-26

Their ordinal numbers once again are -22 and -25, which hardly is a coincidence. For Ga6-25 the ordinal number is 166 (counted from Gb8-30), and from winter solstice the number of days is 64 + 166 = 230, equal to the number of glyphs on side a - if we begin counting from Gb8-30.

If we instead count from Ga1-1, we once again reach 229 (= the distance from tao in Ga1-25 to rau hei in Ga1-25):

242 228
Ga6-25 (166) Gb6-26 (409)
Gb1-25 (255) Ga1-25 (26 + 472 = 498)

Implicitly the winter solstice honu (Gb6-26) will be similar in meaning to tao at Ga1-25.

88
Gb6-26 (409) Ga1-25 (498)
90 = 3 * 30
88 153
Ga6-25 (166) Gb1-25 (255) Gb6-26 (409)
90 = 3 * 30
243

The new sun who is born at winter solstice seems to 'die' after 230 days (= 64 + 166 = 5 * 46), to arise once more after 244 days. 230 + 242 = 472.

The other 'person' is born a quarter after the new sun, but has the same 'life span', and dies after 230 days to be reborn again after 242 days.

The distance between honu at Gb6-26 and tao at Ga1-25 identifies the latter 'person' as spring equinox.
