In Mamari we have
another constellation with
hônu and 'Janus':
In the year there are
two solstices, and
here we also have two viri-times.
In the world of magic
structures must be
similar.
Here 'Janus' is not
eating (growing) and perhaps we
see the full moon. The
'wings' of hônu
are hanging down, like
the forms of waxing and
waning moon. This
hônu is not the sun
animal but the moon
animal! The 'formula'
(the structure of
rongorongo texts)
has variables (not
constants) and now the
hônu-variable has
another 'value' than in
the sun calendars.
At summer solstice and
at full moon light is at
its maximum. At winter
solstice and new moon at
its minimum. The
'central pillar' is also
a variable.
During the
24 hours of the day we
have noon and midnight
as corresponding points
on the circle, the also
belong to the variable
'central pillar'. Will
we find 'Janus' and
hônu in some
calendar for the day?
