328. From Ga7-21 - where Alcyone (*56) in the Pleiades would have returned to visibility (had they looked for the star in the late nights) - we should try to move 10 glyphs (nights) ahead in order to possibly find where on Hawaii the Lono (Rogo) effigy had been set off on its circuit, and Ga7-21 (190) + 10 = (200) Ga7-31:

... In the latter eighteenth century, the Pleiades appear at sunset on 18 November. Ten days later (28 November), the Lono effigy sets off on its circuit, which lasts twenty-three days, thus bringing the god back for the climactic battle with the king on 21 December, the solstice (= Hawaiian 16 Makali'i). The correspondence is 'ideal' and only rarely achieved, since it depends on the coincidence of the full moon and the crepuscular rising of the Pleiades ...
We cannot avoid noticing the resemblance between the figure with a great closed fist held high in Ga7-20 (nothing as yet counted, a day zero), where the first of the pair of right ascension days in the Pleiades would have returned to visibility (*55 + *16 = *71).
... The practice of turning down the fingers, contrary to our practice, deserves notice, as perhaps explaining why sometimes savages are reported to be unable to count above four. The European holds up one finger, which he counts, the native counts those that are down and says 'four'. Two fingers held up, the native counting those that are down, calls 'three'; and so on until the white man, holding up five fingers, gives the native none turned down to count. The native is nunplussed, and the enquirer reports that savages can not count above four ...

Furthermore, the place of 'crossing over' (χ) at 11h (167.4) from 'male' to 'female' (from 'bird' to 'fish') was at the Full Moon 16 days before Ga7-14, i.e. 64 + 16 = 80 days after Ga4-20 which definitely was designed in order to be compared with Ga7-18 (84 glyphs later → Julian equinox):
... In Plato's Timaeus, it is explained that the two bands that form the soul of the world cross each other like the letter Χ ...

After having once again sighted the Pleiades, late in November, there would rise an impressive sequence of prominent stars:
The distance from Alcyone (*56) to Rigel (*78) was only 22 right ascension days - from the year which was beginning with the Pleiades to the year beginning with Rigel.
The Explorers left Hiva in Vaitu Nui 25 (115) and they returned half a year later in Tagaroa Uri 25 (298 = 115 + 183). They left Hiva at Cursa and they left Easter Island at Sabik in the Serpent Carrier.
The star 10 days after the night when Alcyone returned to visibility (at *56 + *16 = *72) - which corresponded to the night when on Hawaii the effigy of Rogo was launched on his circuit - ought to have been Mintaka (*82), the first of the 3 great 'stones' (Tau-toru) - i.e. stars - centrally located in Orion, crossing the celestial equator like a bridge.
There is indeed a Rei type of glyph here, and when the modern times began (around 79 precessional days earlier, viz. 71 * 79 = 5609 years before the time of rongorongo = 1842 AD + 3767 BC ago) this was the place for the autumnal equinox at the time when the Sun crossed over from the northern hemisphere (of the birds) down to the southern hemisphere (of the fishes) - and a canoe would have been the appropriate vessel:

The Sun is the central person on the ecliptic plane and therefore he could hardly be observed to cross the ecliptic, instead we should think of him when he at equinox was crossing over the sky equator. Or better, when he had been crossing over the celestial equator at the time when Orion was at the March equinox.
The Rei type of glyph is the only one - excepting the Rogo type of glyph - which was assigned a Capital letter when Metoro Tau'a Ure explained some rongorongo texts for Bishop Jaussen on Haiti.
