122. At the time of rongorongo (1842 AD according to
my reconstruction) the stars
had moved ahead in the solar year with *88 right
ascension days compared to the time when the Sun had
risen together with Betelgeuze at 0h.
These *88 right ascension days ought to have been *84
right ascension days at the time when the Pope
Gregory XIII launched his new calendar in ºOctober
15 (288) AD 1582. I have perceived *4 to be the
precessional distance in the C and G
texts from the Gregorian calendar and up to the time of
rongorongo, in spite of the fact that 1842 - 1582 = 260 < 4 * 71 =
284.
Had he not changed the Julian equinox (84) with 4
days to ºMarch 21 (80) the distance from equinox to
heliacal Betelgeuze would at that time have been
only *84 - 4 = *80 days. Since the time of the Pope
the precession had moved the stars ahead in the
solar year with *4 right ascension days and this
seems to explain why we have to
adjust with 4 in order to find the day numbers at the
time of Betelgeuze.
In Roman times the Julian spring equinox day ('March 25, 3-25) was
in day 84 counted from the beginning of the solar
year and at the time of rongorongo (*27 precessional
days later) this number would have increased to
84 + *27 = 111 (April 21). And at the time of the Pope
it would have been 84 + *23 = 107 (ºApril 17) = April
21 - 4.
In Roman times Betelgeuze would have risen with the
Sun in 'May 21 (141) which was 141 - 80 =
*61 days after 0h = *88 - *27:

4 * 84 = 336 = 366 - 30 could then have been explained as due to the position of Hamal, which anciently had been the leading star in Aries (and not Sheratan). At the time of rongorongo Hamal had advanced with *30 precessional days to April 20 (110) and this was *4 days after Polaris:

At the time of rongorongo
Alcyone (the Foundation Stone) rose
heliacally 56 days after 0h = 56 - 4 = 52
days after the Julian equinox in March 25.
We can see that the precession had moved the
Sun calendar days ahead with 136 - 52 = 84
(= 80 + 4) days compared to the time when
Betelgeuze was at 0h.
In the Tahua text there are 33 glyphs inserted where H and P have none. If these 33 inserted glyphs + 3 (Pipiri) + 1 (Rei) = 37 days were intended to correspond to the precessional day difference down from the time of the Pope to the time of Bharani (*41 - *4 = * 37), then this phenomenon would be similar to the 4 glyphs at the beginning of side b on the C tablet - i.e. a way to document how the precession had moved the stars ahead in the Sun calendar, here with 4 more days compared to the time of Polaris:

Should this comparison be
relevant and if the glyphs in the rongorongo
texts were arranged in parallel with the
stars, then the precession could have been
documented in various places and with
different purposes. The time frame of
Bharani was *41 days earlier than that of
rongorongo - unless they used the time frame
of the Pope, in which case there should be *37 glyphs
(right ascension days).
According to the time frame
of Bharani the Entrance Pillar (Antares)
would have risen heliacally in "October 15 (probably
corresponding to the date Tangaroa Uri 15 in
Manuscript E), and this place was 245 - 84 = 161
days later than that of heliacal Betelgeuze:

I.e., 185

The form of the

the origin of θ is

...
... In Hindu legend
there was a mother
goddess called
Aditi, who had
seven offspring. She
is called 'Mother of
the Gods'. Aditi,
whose name means
'free, unbounded,
infinity' was
assigned in the
ancient lists of
constellations as
the regent of the
asterism
Punarvasu.
Punarvasu is
dual in form and
means 'The
Doublegood Pair'.
The singular form of
this noun is used to
refer to the star
Pollux. It is not
difficult to surmise
that the other
member of the
Doublegood Pair was
Castor. Then the
constellation
Punarvasu is
quite equivalent to
our Gemini, the
Twins. In far
antiquity (5800
B.C.) the spring
equinoctial point
was predicted by the
heliacal rising of
the Twins (see fig.
6.6). By 4700 B.C.
the equinox lay
squarely in
Gemini (fig. 6.7).
