What can we read from the glyphs? Is it a description of day 79 from Friday or is it a description of day 8 * 29.5 from winter solstice?

glyph numbers from Hb9-48
Ha1-46 Ha1-47 (236) Ha1-48
237 / 3 = 79 = 64 + 15

A person sitting and eating means 'growth'. That is OK up to day 236 but not longer. A rising fish at day 237 seems strange. Only if we were certain it was the moon could it perhaps be acceptable.

The sitting one is fat, he has eaten enough - day 236 suits him well.

Tagata at Ha1-46 is at left, and at right is Y with hua - easily understood as 'noon' in the past and autumn in front.

The rising fish ought to be the moon. The glyph has -48 as if a new season was about to begin - cfr Hb9-48. Ha1 is the 4th glyph line from Hb9.

Day 79 should be thought of as day 64 + 15, because we know there are 64 days beginning with Friday. But 15 is the full moon night, which could explain the fat but still eating person. But then Ha1-48 would show a descending fish. This alternative is not acceptable.

We should also take a quick look at glyphs 236 - 237 counted from Hb3-7:

940 352
Hb9-48 (1) Hb3-6 (942) Hb3-7 Hb9-47 (1296)
942 = 3 * 314 354 = 12 * 29.5

Hb3-6 is glyph number 99 + 6 = 105 from Hb1-1.

105 + 236 = 341 = 308 + 33 will be at Hb7-33:

232
Hb3-7 (1) Hb7-31 Hb7-32 Hb7-33
236 = 8 * 29.5
113
Hb7-34 (237) Hb7-35 Hb7-36 Hb7-37 (240) Hb9-47 (354)
118 = 4 * 29.5

These results connect with one of the conclusions at honui:

2 intercalated days:
Hb7-29 Hb7-30 Hb7-31 Hb7-32 Hb7-33 Hb7-34
Hb7-35 Hb7-36 Hb7-37 Hb7-38 Hb7-39 Hb7-40
1 2

Hb7-34 is glyph number 990 counted from Ha1-1, i.e. it represents the last 3rd of day number 330. But tagata rere at Hb3-7 is glyph number 754 equal to the first 3rd of day number 251, which explains why honu is in the center of day 236 counted from Hb3-7 (instead of at the beginning of the day as in day 330 counted from Ha1-1). The first glyph in Friday (Hb9-48) is glyph number 1108 = the first glyph in day number 370 counted from Ha1-1.

A break in time must come at winter solstice. The 354-glyph long sequence beginning with tagata rere at Hb3-7 must be in harmony with what can be deduced from the pattern of glyphs.

Rogo has no head in Hb7-32, somebody else is ruling for a short while. It is a dark chaotic time outside the regular calendar. A mock king seems to be ruling. According to G old sun is dying with day number 236, because winter solstice comes 64 days before those 236 days are beginning to be counted. And 236 + 64 = 300.

We should therefore look for a preceding koti glyph, and only one such is reasonable:

Ha4-27 Ha8-15 Ha9-118 Hb6-39 Hb9-36 Hb9-50 Hb12-19 Hb12-21

If we count glyphs from Ha1-1 (not from Ha1-4), and equate 3 glyphs with 1 day, koti will be the central glyph in day 314:

Hb6-35 Hb6-36 Hb6-37 Hb6-38 Hb6-39 (941) Hb6-40
313 942 / 3 = 314
Hb6-41 Hb6-42 Hb6-43 Hb6-44 Hb6-45 Hb6-46
315 316

And Rogo at Hb6-45 is unharmed. Counted from Friday (Hb9-48) the day number will be 63 + 316 = 379. Counted from Ha1-4 it will be day 315 (= 5 * 63).

379 is a prime number, 1 less than 20 * 19 = 380.

Hb6-47 Hb6-48 Hb6-49 Hb6-50 Hb6-51 Hb6-52
317 (380) 318 (381)
Hb6-53 Hb6-54 Hb7-1 Hb7-2 Hb7-3 Hb7-4
319 (382) 320 (383)
Hb7-5 Hb7-6 Hb7-7 Hb7-8 Hb7-9 Hb7-10
321 (384) 322 (385)

Puo has a honu with legs at right (in day 384 counted from Friday) - he has begun to move again. Koti at Hb6-39 seems to be connected with the end of the solar year (at day 377 counted from Friday) one week earlier.

3 * 77 (in day 377) = 231 = the first glyph on side b of G. 37 * 7 = 259 (one less than 260).

The distance between Rogo and the 'mock king' is 40 glyphs:

glyphs are counted from Hb1-1, days from Ha1-1 (respectively from Hb9-48)
39
Hb6-44 Hb6-45 (299) Hb6-46 Hb7-32 (340) Hb7-33 Hb7-34
316 (379) 13 330 (393)

If the mock king lives to day 400, then he will have a week (400 - 393). 13 dark days + 7 with the mock king = 20.

There is no koti glyph between Hb6-45 and Hb7-32. Sun has already left.
