The period of 40 black days from the rising Venus fish in Gb5-14 ends with a strange creature in Gb6-24 (which could be Mercury, Wednesday, due to the number of days from Venus - 2 less than 6 * 7 = 42):

38
Gb5-14 (368) Gb6-24 (407)
242
Ga6-22 (163) Gb6-23 (406)

Rau hei in Ga6-22 is like a descending 'fish' (sacrificed person), while the rising Venus fish in Gb5-14 is its opposite, a sign of 'rebirth' - the other side of the 'coin of life'.

'Temporary death', as when mimosa leaves fold and droop, implies a following 'rebirth'. Gb6-23 is like the rising Venus 'fish', at a position of 'life'. The next glyph (Gb6-24), much the same in design, is at the other end, at the position of 'death'.

Gb6-23--24 is the 2nd pair in a quartet:

Gb6-21 Gb6-22 Gb6-23 Gb6-24

The creatures in the two redmarked glyphs have their 'eyes' (more properly holes) close to their 'mouths', which presumably means they are young (with focus on eating and growing).

The two which I have blackmarked are at the other end of 'life' - their 'eyes' have advanced towards the back side - maybe meaning they now have their focus on what once was, a more contemplating state of mind.

In Monday, according to H, this very rare glyph type (mea) is used for illustrating waxing and waning moon, and we can therefore deduce that this quartet represents a double month. Waxing alternates with waning.

The creator of G has used neither the signs in form of black contra white eye, nor of lean contra fat:

It is now possible to arrange our four rau hei glyphs into a meaningful whole:

winter solstice moon 242
Ga6-22 Gb6-23
sun 242
Ga6-25 Gb6-26 (409)
spring equinox moon 242
Gb1-22 Ga1-22
sun 242
Gb1-25 Ga1-25 (26)

The fat ones (Ga6-22 and Gb1-22) probably refer to the moon and the lean ones (Gb6-25 and Gb1-25) to the sun. In Gb6-23 there is a 'moon creature' (presumably a fortnight) and its position in the quartet of such glyphs (together with the position of its 'eye hole') is sufficient evidence to suggest that it represents the 'rebirth' connected with rau hei in Ga6-22.

Likewise, honu in Gb6-26 - the first day of the new year at winter solstice - is evidently connected with rau hei in Ga6-25. The type of 'reborn person' (sun in this example) surely must reflect the type which is 'sacrificed'. Rau hei in Ga6-25 must incarnate the sun.

The moon type of rau hei comes 3 days earlier than the following sun type. Moon is 'reborn' earlier than sun.

The tao 'rebirths' (Ga1-22 and Ga1-25) probably illustrate the return of spring light, because they occur a quarter later (472 + 26 - 408 = 90).

The canoe of the queen threatened to arrive to the island before that of king Hotua Matua, but he used powerful spells to change the situation.

Possibly, it strikes me, the similarity between rau hei and moe - both are 'exhausted' - can be explained so that rau hei initiates a dark season, while moe initiates a light season. The question is relevant in Sunday:

glyph numbers and days counted from Ha1-4
Hb9-12 Hb9-13 Hb9-14 Hb9-15 Hb9-16 Hb9-17
357 358
Hb9-18 Hb9-19 (1076) Hb9-20
359
Hb9-21 (1078) Hb9-22 Hb9-23 Hb9-24 Hb9-25 Hb9-26
360 361

Following the pattern of moon (first waxing, then waning), but in opposite order (sun in the night is outside his normal habitat) there is first decline and then rebirth. He is moving under the earth in the opposite direction from what is normal, that is necessary in order to close the cycle.

A break in time presumably is indicated by manu rere.

Hb9-17 Hb9-18 Hb9-19 Hb9-20 Hb9-21

9 * 20 = 180 could indicate that half Sunday night has been reached. 21 in Hb9-21 means 'one more'.

9-18 similarly could indicate that half Sunday has passed (viz. the daytime). A 'moonish' tau alludes to vai and may tells us that the nighttime is being born. Rau hei is also of the moon type (fat).

But manu rere is definitely of the sun type. The moon part of the night ends after 3 glyphs. Manu rere marks the new day.

The sign of leaning at rau hei ought to mean that the time has come for sun (the day) to fall on his face. We have only one more rau hei leaning forward among the glyphs of G and H, viz. Gb4-12:

Gb4-6 (327) Gb4-7 Gb4-8 Gb4-9 (330) Gb4-10 Gb4-11
Gb4-12 (333) Gb4-13 Gb4-14 Gb4-15 (336) Gb4-16 Gb4-17

3 days earlier is another rau hei, and we can therefore guess it must be of the moon type.

We ought to count forward 243 glyphs and search for the rebirths. 330 + 243 = 573.

573 - 472 = 101, which means Ga4-17:

13
Ga4-16 Ga4-17 (101) Ga4-18 Ga4-19
14
Ga4-20 (104) Ga4-21 Ga4-22

The reason why rau hei in Gb4-12 is threatening to fall forward maybe can be explained by adding 59 (moon) or 64 (sun) measures (for the dark beginning). 333 + 59 = 392 (the number of glyphs on side a of Mamari) and 333 + 64 = 397.

Adding 64 gives meaningful results, because 400 will be reached at manu rere (Gb4-15):

glyph numbers are counted from Gb6-26
Gb4-6 (391) Gb4-7 Gb4-8 Gb4-9 Gb4-10 Gb4-11
Gb4-12 Gb4-13 Gb4-14 Gb4-15 (400) Gb4-16 Gb4-17

All three preceding glyphs (Gb4-12--14) are leaning forward.

Can we find a system with 243 days also in H? Let us search for a tao glyph at day number 359 + 243 = 602.

glyph numbers and days counted from Ha1-4
Hb9-18 Hb9-19 Hb9-20 (1077)
359

Beyond Hb9-20 to the end of side b there are 216 (!) glyphs = 72 (!) days. 3 + 1077 + 216 = 1296. 243 - 72 = 171 (= 9 * 19) days. 3 * 171 = 513 (= 19 * 27) glyphs.

Glyph number 513 on side a is Ha10-11, and - yes! - it is a tao glyph:

glyph numbers and days counted from Ha1-4
216 510
Hb9-18 Hb9-19 Hb9-20 (1077) Ha10-9 Ha10-10 Ha10-11 (510)
243 510 / 3 = 170
