THE GLYPHS OF KEITI

Should our glyph catalogue include all the rongorongo glyphs sorted according to their labels in an ordered manner? I am not sure as yet. Would it not be better to have all these glyphs in the glyph dictionary with their meanings? To have them in both places seems not very rational.

We can postpone an answer to this question. Instead the ambition here and now is to test the glyph catalogue by sorting all the glyphs in Keiti into their correct (as far as it can be ascertained) 'doors' in the catalogue. Is this possible or will there be some glyphs left over which will not fit any of the 'doors' defined in my catalogue?

I have made the described effort, to look if all the Keiti glyphs will fit into the catalogue. Starting with 'door' no. 11 (the 'splendid bird') and continuing all the way to 'MORE' I have searched the text for glyphs including the type of glyph defined by the 'door'. Whenever I found one, I put a little red dot at the glyph (on a paper where I have printed out the whole text). At the same time I noted (on a separate paper) the glyph label under the rubric 'splendid bird' respectively under the rubrics for all the other 'doors'.

This method enabled me to control if any of the glyphs in the Keiti text did not fit any 'door' (no red dot). Also it made it easy to find all the Keiti glyphs for each 'door'. Now to the results.
