In the calendar of K a viri glyph is located immediately before the 'gnomon' hakaturou at Kb4-7:

28
Kb4-6 Kb4-7 Kb4-8 Kb4-9
99 100 101 102

Counted from the 2nd Rei (Ka3-15) Kb4-7 will be number 100, possibly a sign of the new beginning at winter solstice. Viri at Kb4-6 would then be the last glyph of the old year, or rather the last glyph of the 2nd half of the year, because earlier, at the end of the 1st half year, another viri is positioned:

16
Kb1-7 Kb1-8 Kb1-9 Kb1-10
44 45 46 47
5 mutilated glyphs follow here
Kb1-11 Kb1-12 Kb1-13 Kb1-14
48 49 50 51 52-56

Between 'sails at left' (Kb1-9) and 'sails at right' (Kb1-13) the sum of the ordinal numbers is 12 * 12 = 144, which possibly indicates a final of a 1st 'square of the earth' (half-year). Presumably there were 12 half-months in each half year.

Extending the counting to include Kb1-9 and Kb1-13 we reach the sum 240, also indicating a final of 12 (by way of 20, the last 'natural' number). Including Kb1-14 and Kb1-8 too (which ought to be the way of summing up because viri probably is positioned as last glyph of the 'ruling season') the sum of the ordinal numbers will be 336 = 12 * 28. Including even Kb1-7 we reach the sum 380 = 19 * 20 for the ordinal numbers of the 8 glyphs, which can be understood as meaning time has run out for the 'ruling sun'.

The last (though mutilated) glyph in the 16th period (*Kb1-19 - with 19 indicating 'death' of the sun) has ordinal number 56 = 2 * 28, possibly a connection with the fact that the last viri glyph is in period 28.

Adding the ordinal numbers for those glyphs which come after viri in the 16th period results in 270 = 15 * 18. Adding their ordinal numbers in the line (Kb1) results in 85. If we in period 28 add 7 + 8 + 9 we get 24. Adding 1 + 2 + 3 we get 6 (a new counting must begin with the 'gnomon' as 1).

A 3rd viri (Ka2-5) is located even earlier in the text of K.

Once again my suspicion creeps out of his hole: What is really there and what is a fabric of my mind? I think much evidence must be gathered before any definite viewpoints can be established - especially if they are only numeric in character. Moreover, and more important, data must be put in perspective - be related to other data. Otherwise they cannot be converted into hard 'facts'.

The link '3rd viri' leads to the following page:

Ka2-1 Ka2-2 Ka2-3 Ka2-4 Ka2-5
Ka2-6 Ka2-7 Ka2-8 Ka2-9 Ka2-10

The distances measured out by the three viri do not give any sensational results:

Ka1 *24 *29
Ka2-1 -- Ka2-5 5
Ka2-6 -- Ka2-22 17 82
Ka3 21
Ka4 16

Kb3 16
Kb4-1 -- Kb4-6 6
Kb4-7 -- Kb4-19 13 *33
Kb5 *20
sum *192

The estimated number of glyphs at the beginning of the text (29) is the only sum which immediately strikes a note (the dark night of the moon). The numbers of glyphs for the other distances are curiously meaningless.

2 * 5 = 10, 1 * 14 = 14, and 4 * 6 = 24 (multiplying line numbers with ordinal numbers in respective line) does not prove anything (although 10 + 14 = 24).

Kb1-14 and Kb4-6 possibly are related to the 2nd Rei (Ka3-15). There are 3 Rei and 3 viri:

28 4 10 7 6
Ka2-5 Ka2-10 Ka2-21 Ka3-7 Ka3-14
29 34 45 53 60
46 2 30 16
Ka3-15 Kb1-11 Kb1-14 Kb3-5 Kb4-6 Kb4-7
1 48 51 82 99 1(00)

Maybe Rei glyphs mark the beginning of seasons in the light and viri the end of seasons in the dark. There are no viri glyphs between the 1st and 3rd Rei.

The 'domain of Rei' - from Ka2-10 up to and including Kb1-11 - measures (60 - 33) + 51 = 78 glyphs, not an impossible number (6 * 13 = 78).

192 - 78 = 114 = 6 * 19 would be the remainder (outside the 'domain of Rei).

Kb1-14 cannot really mark 'the end of a season in the dark', not if Kb1-11 announces 'the beginning of a season in the light'. The space between the 2nd Rei and the 2nd viri is quite too short.

Maybe the 1st Rei indicates the beginning of the light season and the 3rd Rei the end of the light season?

(60 - 33) + 51 = 78 = 6 * 13 for the light season and 192 - 78 = 114 = 6 * 19 for the dark season. If 19 indicates how sun has 'gone into shadow' then 13 will indicate his presence. 19 - 13 = 6.

What about the 2nd Rei?

26 18
Ka2-10 Ka3-15 Ka4-13 Ka4-14 Ka4-15
1 20 21 22
13 8
Ka5-13 Ka5-14 Kb1-1 Kb1-2 Kb1-11
36 37 38 39 48
1 2 3 12

The 2nd Rei presumably is the most important because of its central position. Likewise, Kb4-6 should be regarded as central, and therefore their distance (99) will be important too.

Ka5-13 is the 36th glyph from the 2nd Rei, and then a new sequence begins with the 'dark' Rei at Ka5-14.

Halfway to Ka5-13 we have Ka4-12, a glyph which is 'spooky' because the feet are absent and the leg ends open:
