Now let us return to the question if the strange 'tail'
really is a mark for viri. I first want to
present as evidence period no. 30 in the calendar of the
year in Small Santiago / London:
|
|
|
|
Ga7-1 |
Ga7-2 |
Ga7-3 |
Ga7-4 |
|
|
|
|
Kb4-6 |
Kb4-7 |
Kb4-8 |
Kb4-9 |
At the end of the year, during the five dark
extracalendrical nights, po, (Ga7-3 / Kb4-8)
there is winter solstice (Ga7-1 / Kb4-6), a viri
(GD33).
And
it looks as if the variants of toko (GD32)
in Ga7-2 / Kb4-7 are influenced by the immediately
preceding viri glyphs. These toko are
straight, not bent, presumably because they represent
the central pillar, not the four cardinal pillars.
