I must add yet another idea - to get rid of all these ideas I just have to take every opportunity - this idea is about GD11, that 'splendid bird' on top. Posnansky's view makes it very clear: there is only one at the top (Mayku). But, we have three GD11 in the week, (Sun, Jupiter, Saturn). How come? Moreover: Even Moon appears in the shape of GD11. That is clear from Ab6-45 which I believe is marking Monday in another calendar of the week. Mars (Tuesday) and Venus (Friday) have double faces (nuku rua), that ought to 'prove' that this is a week. The beak of Moon-GD11 is 'big' in the meaning I have defined for signs of GD11 in Tahua:
This evidence suggests that left wing short and big hook go together to signify the moon. Posnansky: "Since there are numerous variations of this sign [condor], the author is of the opinion that these indicate not only differences in sex and hierarchy, but that they also doubtless represent certain species of birds of prey with curved beaks, such as the falcon, the eagle or other nocturnal and diurnal birds ... The form of the head and the cut of the beak vary in the different drawings." |
