This looks like a case of pregnancy and therefore I guess this glyph indicates a continuation of the thoughts about lightning and rain. After rain things start to grow. I have not been able to find any similar text sequences elsewhere with this type of glyph. In Mamari's moon calendar, though, the 2nd glyph in each period (except the 1st and 7th) show pregnancy. And the first glyph in each period has a rounded bottom instead of legs. But the roundness of the glyph above is assymmetric and ends downwards with what looks like an inverted Y, i.e. it is not like an egg. As the hands of this glyph are lifted upwards and ending in Y I have arranged this glyph in vertical parallel with the first two such glyphs in the 1st period. But now I believe that this is misleading. The text makes a new start with glyph no. 11, not with this glyph (which is glyph no. 14 in what I tentatively have called the 1st period). In Monday (according to Large Santiago and Large St Petersburg) there is also pregnancy (or at least fatness), seemingly in the 2nd half (of the month?). And then we have 'the sandal of Tohil':
Autumn is the season of ripe fruits and that, consequently, is what I believe this glyph (Eb2-8) is signalling. Notice that the elbow ornament in Ga6-5 is similar to that in Eb2-8. Is it a sign of closing? And in autumn the nuts are forming, vessels containing hibernating life. The 'dead bones' can regenerate given the right conditions. |
