One of the main reasons for the many pages is the need to
describe the calendars. The number of calendar presentation pages ('cal' above) is a
matter of rather arbitrary judgment - what is the definition?
Once again, though, it is not the details but the trends which
are of interest. About half of the pages seems to belong to
'cal'. I guess it will continue like that for the rest of the
'first level'. Without support from the calendars the meaning of
the glyph types will be difficult to prove. Hopefully, the
calendars will be sufficient to enable the rest of the texts
also to be deciphered.
