MOON There are many glyphs left to discuss in the Keiti moon calendar. Therefore I think we should continue by doing that. The moon calendar in Mamari also contains glyphs we have not discussed. And perhaps we have learnt something after having studied it in level 2. Then there are the general structures, which I believe are repeated everywhere. The middle of the week is bent downwards, i.e. low status for Mercury and high for Sun and Saturn. Perhaps this idea of bending downwards in Wednesday originates from the shape of the Moon halfway between full moon and new moon. Full moon of course being similar to the Sun and new moon similar to Saturn. The shape of bending could be related to hanga or it could be related to viri. This glyph in Large St Petersburg, Pa4-5, I at first believed was a mixed glyph with the components Sun and Moon:
But by comparing with the parallel texts in Large Santiago and Small St Petersburg I could see that it was probably a mixture of Sun and hanga. Maybe viri is expressed by the sitting person (glyph no. 2 in each period except the 1st) in the Moon calendar of Mamari?
