There was another type of glyph which Metoro also described as rakau - possibly referring to the origin of the Tree (Oak or similar):

At the beginning of line Ca4 we can recognize
the beginning of the Rigel year (or a year beginning at
Elnath), as discussed earlier regarding the G text - although
there
connected with the heliacal stars:

The C glyphs seem to refer to what
could be observed in the night and close to the Full
Moon. Probably it meant nakshatra Sirrah at the current northern
spring equinox was at position zero (0h) in the text, i.e.
equivalent to
oDECEMBER 31 when Elnath was at 0h. But the tattooing instrument (hoea)
- if we can rely on Metoro - was at the heliacal place, because this
seems to have been at the
northern autumn equinox when the Sun reached Raven and
Crux, in September 22 (265) - respectively at the
beginning of the 2nd half of the Elnath year in oJULY 4,
185. Precession would have moved the stars ahead with
about 80 days
since then.
We have a double problem to deal with. First to
put in parallel the glyphs with either the heliacal or
the nakshatra stars (and dates) and then to try to understand what
the words of Metoro may have meant.
The series of honu glyphs at the end of side
a and at the beginning of side b should refer to Virgo
(Mother Earth), which could mean a heliacal reading of
the glyphs was continuing towards Bootes and the terminal day
for Jupiter (alias Hercules).
A beginning at Auriga (Capella) and
Orion (Rigel) can be read from the glyphs in line Ga1 if
they are perceived heliacally. But in line Ca4 the glyphs
maybe should be read nakshatra wise. I guess Metoro said
kua tupu te rakau (at Ca4-1) not
referring to heliacal Nodus I but to the nakshatra
pair μ Aurigae / μ Leporis.
His growing (kua
tupu) tree (te rakau) could then have
referred to a Tree which at the
time of Elnath still was far from the solstice. 157
(June 6) - 80
= 77 (oMARCH 18) = 5 days after day 73 (3-14, π) at
Ca3-21 (as if alluding to March 21).
