There were 3 days from Delta to η Andromedae:
The distance from 1842 A.D. to 1061 A.D. is 781 = 11 * 71 years and 11 means 'one more' (being born to the world of the living). 91 (April 1) + 365 = 456 = 5 * 91 + 1. Metoro made no pause between te manu and te henua, possibly a Sign to indicate how here sky and earth were immobile - still (and) close together. Apparently a new vitality (requiring legs) then appears with te Rei and April 1.
My new rule for assigning days for the stars means Mirach and Revati now will both be in April 6 (4-6), which is a better alternative than having Revati in the following day. At midnight in April 6 Regulus culminated. Spica and Alcor will be in October 9 (8-9) instead of in October 10.
October 12 is Gregorian day 285 and counted from March 21 (80) day 285 is December 31 (365). If the year should be counted from December 31 instead of from January 1, then day 104 (= 4 * 26) will be April 13, where Metoro became silent - surely a Sign from him. In rongorongo times April 13 was when the Sun visited Achernar far down south at the beginning of Eridanus. April 13 can be written 4-13 and 14 * 29½ = 413, like a greater fortnight. ... Youkahainen tries to overcome the ancient sage by asking cosmological riddles, but Vainamoinen 'sings' the Lapp step by step into the bog up to his throat, and sings his magic formulae 'backwards' to free him only when the Lapp has promised him Aino, his only sister. There was also the tale of Vainamoinen searching in the dead giant's belly for three lost runes. These, unless they are treated as 'just so stories', look very much like 'erratic boulders' deposited in Finland by the glacial movement of time. For once, it is possible to trace the archaic formation back to Egypt. A young Egyptian called Setna (or Seton Chamwese) wanted to steal the magic book of Thot from the corpse of Nefer-ka Ptah, one of the great Egyptian gods, who was often portrayed as a mummy. Ptah, however, was awake and asked him: 'Are you able to take this book away with the help of a knowing scribe, or do you want to overcome me at checkerboards? Will you play Fifty-Two?' Setna agreed, and the board with its 'dogs' (pieces) being brought up, Nefer-ka Ptah won a game, spoke a formula, laid the checkerboard upon Setna's head and made him sink into the ground up to his hips. On the third time, he made him sink up to his ears, then Setna cried aloud for his brother, who saved him ... 52 weeks equals 364 nights. If side b of the tablet has a text which continues at the beginning of side a, then we could look for day 364 at glyph number 364 - 348 = 16 (April 6, 4-6) = Ca1-16. In rongorongo times this was the position of Mirach (β Andromedae, at her girdle) and Revati (ζ Piscium). April 14 (104 = 2 * 52 = 4 * 26) is a further 8 days ahead and Al Batn Al Hūt could therefore be the place for 'the dead giant's belly' where Väinömöinen searched for 3 lost runes. But possibly they corresponded to the 3 nights beyond Achernar (very far down). The Belly of the Fish could once have been at Anunitum (τ Piscium), a position which later may have became 'lost':
Maybe Väinömöinen should have looked inside the belly of the Whale, Baten Kaitos (ζ Ceti), 10 days later than ζ Piscium (Revati), because this star rose at the same time as Polaris:
Although Al Batn Al Hūt according to Wikipedia was number 26 (and not number 28 as Revati) someone may have 'lost a few runes':
Because earlier Al Batn Al Hūt had been number 28 (the last stage of the old year):
The 'Fortune of the Hidden' in Aquarius could refer to how in the time of Aquarius Mother Earth was hidden beneath the waves. The '3 lost runes' was a Sign of the story-teller, meant to catch the listener's attention, to make him think. In the same manner the 3 last manazil could have been deliberatedly tampered with in order to make number 26 visible. If the precessional cycle was regarded as 26 * 10³ years, then the curious could try to count 71 * 26 = 1846 just 'to see if something interesting would occur'. Then he would do it right and count 26 / 71 = 366. ... The old man gave the Raven two small sticks, like gambling sticks, one black, one multicoloured. He gave him instructions to bite them apart in a certain way and told him to spit the pieces at one another on the surface of the sea. The Raven climbed back up the pole, where he promptly did things backwards, just to see if something interesting would occur, and the pieces bounced apart. It may well be some bits were lost. But when he gathered what he could and tried again - and this time followed the instructions he had been given - the pieces stuck and rumpled and grew to become the mainland and Haida Gwaii. |
