Now back to the words of Metoro from 9h and forward.

9h / 24h * 365.25 = 137.0 and this is August 5 (217 = 80 + 137), which therefore can be compared to Sheratan 1 (= Gregorian day 137 = May 17). 217 - 137 = 80.

There are 4 sequences of glyphs from August 5 to the beginning of the Moon calendar, and the first of these sequences covers 7 days:

Murzim 2 3 4 5 6 (85) 7 8
August 5 6 7 8 (220) 9 10 11
Ca5-32 Ca5-33 Ca5-34 Ca5-35 Ca6-1 Ca6-2 Ca6-3
e vaha noho ragi erua ahi i te hau tea Erua hau tea i te henua i te rima

There are no new words for us. E vaha noho ragi could mean 'the opening (vaha) of the sky (ragi) residence (noho)' - in time.

The cupformed 'inverted sky roof' at the top in Ca5-32 could have induced Metoro to say vaha. Perhaps it is a picture of Moon sailing close to the horizon like a canoe. In spite of the picture the words of Metoro at first may seem to indicate a change from the 'cup shell' to the 'sky shell'. However,  Metoro could have meant August 5 was the opening (vaha) of the season when 'Sky' had settled down (noho). The twin glyphs (erua ahi, twin fires) which follow are designed like upraised arms with closed fists hiding the face of the 'fire' and there are twice 5 = 10 'flames'.

The last glyph in line Ca5 is number 140. Consequently the great 'Janus' hau tea in Ca6-1 is the first glyph of 7 * 36 = 252 to the end of side a.

392 = 140 + 252 and 392 days corresponds to 20 + 36 = 56 weeks.

Let's see which stars were rising heliacally at this time of the year:

Alsuhail (λ Velorum) could be a significant star. And there are 3 more (redmarked) stars down in the Sunken Ship which have been given names.

There appear to be 5 days from August 5 where the important heliacal stars are far down in the south.

Then follow the nose of the Lion (Al Minhar al Asad) and Alphard (α at the neck of Hydrae).

Alphard is the 5th Tahitian star pillar and it is also the 25th Chinese station:

But the Hindu list avoids Alphard and has other stars in Hydra - and significantly not in a station connected with 5 ('fire) but in its opposite, the 9th station. Serpents have no great body heat.

9 Āshleshā δ, ε, η, ρ, and σ Hydrae Serpent

Already the Babylonians saw a Serpent in Hydra:

Both Lion and Serpent have wings, and both have their heads on one side of the vertical line of time division but their bodies on the other side. In between the heads - and also that of the Crab - is the sign of Jupiter. Al Sufi had a double picture of Cancer:
