There could be an enclosure (pa) in time, stretching from February 4 to May 22:
The numbers are rather compelling. February 4 is at 21h and May 21 at 4h. 4h + 24h - 21h = 7h, i.e. the G text approximates 24h + 7h = 31h in length. This eclosure (pa) was possibly referred to in Ca2-22, but if so then why?
Zibal is ζ ('zayin') Eridani, and in G its heliacal rising coincides with a strange fellow with hands where his head should be:
This 'tagata kaikai' in Gb8-15 has position 457 (= 357 + 100). If we equate 457 with 300 + 157 (= 314 / 2), then we can find a kind of sideways vaha kai with 9 'teeth' in March 19 (given that we count days forward from the end of side a):
From March 20 to May 8 there are 128 - 79 = 49 days (7 weeks):
Manzil day 354 coincides with May 5. Ca2-22 is at manzil day 357 (= 457 - 100):
457 (Gb8-15 or Ca2-22) at May 8 (Alrescha 7) is 329 more than 128 (or 36 less than 493). Counting glyphs from Gb3-9 to Gb8-15 results not in 50 but in 157, and maybe the first 49 of them are ending with Gb4-28:
Gb4-28 (where Significantly 42 * 8 = 336) is glyph number 349 if we begin to count from Gb8-30. By adding 63 in order to reach the RA day we will have 349 + 63 = 412. This corresponds to May 7, because 412 + 80 - 365 = 127. Metoro's pa appears in one more place in the Mamari text:
Presumably Metoro was referring to the beginning of the manzil calendar when he said pa rei. From May 8 to May 16 there are 8 nights. The oversized elements in Cb2-6 is probably a kind of Sign. The arm in front in Ca2-22 has the same greater than normal quality. Likewise kiore henua in Ca3-13. But we will never know for sure, because at Cb2-6 the venerable Bishop made it clear for Metoro that he would not listen to any lengthy explanations, he would only have the words for what each glyph illustrated: "Le chant de Metoro n'est plus complet. Un doigt sur le signe, je tâchais de ne plus écrire de son chant que le mot essentiel. De même pour la dernière tablette." |
