3. I believe the first 3 star pillars constitute a group. But when we now have established what I regard as a possible connection between these 3 and the G text it does not automatically follow that also the remaining 7 pillars are to be found in the G text.

But if they are, then Arcturus, 'the pillar to stand by', ought to be our next star (disregarding for the moment Ana-tipu and Ana-heu-heu-po). Because this star lies between Ana-roto and Ana-mua:

1

Ana-mua, entrance pillar

Antares, α Scorpii

-26° 19'  16h 26

2

Ana-muri, rear pillar (at the foot of which was the place for tattooing)

Aldebaran, α Tauri

16° 25'  04h 33

3

Ana-roto, middle pillar

Spica, α Virginis

-10° 54'  13h 23

4

Ana-tipu, upper-side-pillar (where the guards stood)

Dubhe, α Ursae Majoris

62° 01'  11h 01

5

Ana-heu-heu-po, the pillar where debates were held

Alphard, α Hydrae

-08° 26'  09h 25

6

Ana-tahua-taata-metua-te-tupu-mavae, a pillar to stand by

Arcturus, α Bootis

19° 27'  14h 13

7

Ana-tahua-vahine-o-toa-te-manava, pillar for elocution

Procyon, α Canis Minoris

05° 21'  07h 37

8

Ana-varu, pillar to sit by

Betelgeuse, α Orionis

07° 24'  05h 52

9

Ana-iva, pillar of exit

Phaed, γ Ursae Majoris

53° 58'  11h 51

10

Ana-nia, pillar-to-fish-by

North Star, α Ursae Minoris

89° 02'  01h 49

14 * 60 + 13 = 853, i.e. the distance to Ana-mua is 986 - 853 =133 minutes, which we can divide by 4 to reach the number of days. Instead of using the very long Tahitian name I will simply write Arcturus:

30 104 Ana-roto 12 Arcturus 32
146 - 183 / 4 = day 100 146 - 133 / 4 = day 113
46
180 days
Ana-mua 183 Ana-muri
151 - 5 = day 146 335 - 5 = day 330
185 days

Next we should look at glyph number113, which brings us to the beginning of line a5:

period 13
Ga4-16 (100) Ga4-17 Ga4-18 Ga4-19
period 16
Ga5-1 Ga5-2 (113) Ga5-3

Presumably period 16 is the last in a sequence with something new beginning with number 17.

Why is there an open henua in Ga5-3 instead of one of the normal kind? Furthermore, Rei in Ga5-1 is exceptional, without the normal 'crescent' signs:

Ga5-1 Rei
