Bb12.8

There were 'No Feet' (A-pus) on the Bird of Paradise, because it was said that they had been much too ugly and therefore cut off from this bird with a very beautiful plumage:

However, feet would have been needed in order to walk properly up-on terra firma (Bb12-26 → 122 * 6 = 732 = 2 * 366):

After the inundation had subsided and land was once again emerging the Frog (Egyptian kerer) evolved legs and lost his tail. Thus, at the beginning of Eternity (Heh) there were frogs (cfr Rana = δ Eridani, *55).

The Polynesian equivalent should evidently be kereru, the Wood Pigeon, for when very young Maui transformed himself into the form of a kereru in order to fly through a hole in the ground to go down to his parents. From water to dry land and then up into the air.
