"A constellation incorporating the stars Arcturus (mag. -0.06) and Muphrid (mag. 2.69) in the constellation Boötes. Beginning early in September Sivulliik is a prominent feature of the western evening sky. By mid-December the constellation is making pre-dawn appearances above the southern horizon. Sivulliik means 'the first ones' or 'the {two} in front'. The term Sivulliik is often used when referring to Arcturus alone whether or not the lesser star of the pair, Muphrid, is visible."
