Small St Petersburg Tablet (Q, RR
17) This tablet was obtained by the Russian scientist Mikhlukho-Maklai in July 1871 at Tahiti and it probably was bought from one of the indentured Rapa Nui workers at the Brander plantation. (Fischer) Pictures (Barthel):
The number of lines are 9+9 = 18 and the type of wood not known with certainty (perhaps toromiro). For some unknown reason the tablet has been smeared with two types of clay, one variegated and one brown. (Fischer)
