Large Santiago Tablet (H, RR 9)

Large St Petersburg Tablet (P, RR 18)

Small St Petersburg Tablet (Q, RR 17)

These three tablets should be read in parallel as their texts are running in parallel and as parts of the texts on the tablets have been destroyed. By a lucky fortune, though, what is destroyed on one tablet can be read on at least one of the other two.

Another reason to read the texts in parallel is that the glyphs used are not exactly the same. The differences give clues to the system of writing rongorongo, e.g. when on one tablet the text has two glyphs there are instances when on another of the tablets there is only one glyph combining the features of the two glyphs.

Consequently the texts on these three tablets are very important and of great value when we try to understand the rongorongo texts.
