The remaining pair of hanau glyphs is also located at an interesting place. The 3rd of the special henua periods comes immediately before:
272 = 4 * 68 and we should remember the general location, beyond moe in Ab4-18:
272 is the last of the pair of glyphs which together define day 136. There are 15 * 68 = 1020 glyphs (610 days) from Ab4-28 to Aa8-43:
The birth of a new season seems to occur with the 4th period:
Manu kake then initiates the following, 6th, period (out of a total of 8 - of course):
Time does not allow us to continue on this fascinating trail, we must return. The following 12 glyphs are those which I was intending to discuss when I saw those special 6 which forced me into a detour:
Redmarked are 5 where a 'cap' forms the right ear (I have also counted the black Aa4-55 where a birth evidently is shown). The remaining 7 glyphs have a 'cap' at left. In Aa5-69 it is the middle chap which made me include the glyph, but it is rather difficult to distinguish the hanau glyphs with a cap instead of the normal type of ear. Quite clearly the location is concentrated to side a. Furthermore, Aa7-15 presumably is a special case because the whole glyph line a7 is used for a special calendar. We conclude that the 3 glyph lines Aa2--Aa5 is the habitat of the cap sign. The cap at right comes after cap at left, and glyph line Aa4 is where the cap is in front:
Aa4-36 (where 4 * 36 = 8 * 18 = 12 * 12 = 144) is the beginning, 4 glyphs before pito. We can compare with the end at Ab4-36:
670 is equal to the number of glyphs on side a, 664 to the numbers of glyphs on side b. 384 glyphs on side b beyond Ab4-36 is equal to 192 days. Counting from the beginning of side a we should probably go on until pito (Aa4-39), because then we have 290, i.e. 145 days. The cap-ear at right sign comes with the season initiated by pito. It indicates when the high sky is 'born'. 1334 / 2 = 667 days. We have mapped 192 + 145 = 337 of them, there remain 330:
