I think this was a major discovery. Every discovery which has to do with the structure of Tahua is a major one. A subtle long trail of not quite parallel glyphs connects the beginning of side a with the beginning of the 2nd (24 glyphs long) part of the 32 glyph sequence beginning with Ab3-60:
Or maybe it is a longer sequence than 32 glyphs. Ab3-26 is drawn exactly like Ab3-60:
I have listed 17 Rei glyphs on side b. In addition to the 2 redmarked another group (blackmarked) has 5 members (or 6 is also Ab6-27 is counted - but then also Ab4-41 should be a member, and Ab2-82 counted as a third member of the redmarked sort).
We must leave this train of thought. Instead, back to where we were. If there is a subtle trail running in semi-parallel from Ab3-68 forwards, then we should investigate what lies before:
Is the subtle trail beginning earlier than with Aa1-1 (respectively Ab3-68)?
The trail is indeed very faint, if it is not all in my imagination. The distance from Aa1-1 to Ab3-68 is 904 = 4 * 226 glyphs or 2 * 226 = 452 days:
But a better way to divide the text, I guess, would be to count to 236 (as in 2nd 36) from the beginning of side b:
1334 - 236 = 1098 = 18 * 61. |
