Calendar II:

9 * 20 = 180
*Yc1-3 *Yc1-4 *Yc1-5 *Yc1-6 *Yc1-7 *Yc1-8 (120) *Yc1-9
*Yc1-10 *Yc2-1
15 * 20 = 300
*Yc2-2 *Yc2-3 *Yc2-4 (240) *Yc2-5 *Yc2-6 *Yc3-1
*Yc3-2 *Yc3-3 *Yc3-4 (360) *Yc3-5 *Yc3-6 (400)
*Yc3-7 *Yc3-8 *Yc1-1 *Yc1-2

The great oval in Yc1-9 (a Thursday) should refer to the highest point of the cosmic Tree. But with Yc1-1--2 at the end of the 2nd group of glyphs its calendrical number will be 140 instead of 180.

To get it right we need not only Yc1-1--2 but also Yc3-8. There should be 60 (or to be more exact 64) days at the end of 'side b' which belong on 'side a'.

But with such an adjustment we can see that there should be a middle group of 60 days (with Venus in the central position):

9 * 20 = 180
*Yc1-3 (80) *Yc1-4 (100) *Yc1-5 (120) *Yc1-6 (140) *Yc1-7 (160) *Yc1-8 (180)
*Yc1-9 (200) *Yc1-10 (220) *Yc2-1 (240)

Now it is much better. Sun in Yc1-8 has reached his high station, midsummer. But he continues all the way through high summer to time zero (240). New numbers for the 2nd group:

15 * 20 = 300
*Yc2-2 *Yc2-3 *Yc2-4 (300) *Yc2-5 *Yc2-6 *Yc3-1 (360)
*Yc3-2 (380) *Yc3-3 *Yc3-4 (420) *Yc3-5 *Yc3-6 (460)
*Yc3-7 (480) *Yc3-8 (20) *Yc1-1 *Yc1-2 (60)

The rain will now arrive at the right time, when there has gone 300 days from winter solstice.

360 is illustrated by a 'crack in time'

Tagata comes at 380, and hanau in Yc2-2 is located 120 days earlier. The following vai glyphs seem to be determinants - it is the season of vai which is born, respectively is fully grown. Koti at 420 should mean that the vai season is 'broken'.

When we find vaha kai at 80 it means the light is being reborn. The 4 following fishes stand up during the spring light season, all the way to midsummer. The agreement with Tahua is very good, and we now can interpret the beginning of side a in yet another way:

Aa1-1 Aa1-2 Aa1-3
20 40 60
Aa1-4 Aa1-5 Aa1-6 Aa1-7 Aa1-8 Aa1-9
80 100 120 140 160 180
Aa1-10 Aa1-11 Aa1-12
200 220 240

The colours are offset with 1 position due to the short glyph line Yc1. Although it with 10 glyphs is the longest on the snuff box. The creator has been forced to add also Yc3-8.

Calendar II on the snuff box reaches to 420 days, where koti arrives. It is located as the 21st period of 20 days. Then follows 3 glyphs which could be 'leap months'. In G there are 471 glyphs, and if that is the goal also on the snuff box, then these 3 glyphs are needed.

Important is the find that a reversed vaha kai means 'birth' not 'death'.

There is another reversed vaha kai in calendar I. It is also located at the beginning:

180 days
*Yb3-1 *Yb3-2 (20) *Yb3-3 *Yb3-4 *Yb3-5 *Yb3-6 (60)
*Ya1-1 *Ya1-2 *Ya1-3 *Ya1-4 *Ya1-5 *Ya1-6 (120)
*Ya2-1 *Ya2-2 *Ya2-3 *Ya2-4 *Ya2-5 *Ya2-6 (180)

Beyond winter solstice (bird manu kake) the 'birth' comes at 20. It is still dark, not as at the reversed vaha kai in calendar II. But the meaning is the same, the new year is being born.
