The fundamental picture, as presented in the glyph dictionary was like below, but I have decided to delete the 3rd column, it is not necessary and not based on more than my imagination.

The 4th column is also based on my imagination, but has fewer and more fundamental facts, which makes it easier to control against the glyphs.

By counting glyphs the structure of the K calendar is partially revealed, though for a definite description the glyphs must also be studied:

The 16th period ends in parallel with the 18th period of the G calendar.

30 + 26? + 30 + 24 = 110?

Periods 17-24 presumably is a unit because they together carry 30 glyphs.

Likewise periods 1-10 probably is a unit with 30 glyphs.

10 + 6 + 8 + 6 = 30 periods.

We have established that Kb1-1 announces the end of the 1st 'year'. Ab1-1 serves a similar function, we should remember, with 'new light sailing away' in Ab1-2:

Though, Ab1-1 is viri, not the end of period glyph type exemplified by Kb1-1. Instead, viri appears as Kb1-14, 13 glyphs ahead.

Kb1-1 is glyph number 38 and Kb1-14 is glyph number 51. It would, therefore, be reasonable to compare Kb1-15 (no. 52) with Ab1-2:

It is even possible that Kb1-15 looked exactly like Ab1-2. The 'roof' looks very much the same.

If Kb1-1 marks a cardinal point (which we conclude is summer solstice, because the basic premise is that the calendar covers a part - or possibly the whole - of the year, and because we have establised - as a hypothesis - that period 1 begins around spring equinox), then the central triplet (Kb1-13--15) ought to correspond to the changeover from the 1st 'year' to the next; the calendar break appears (like in our own calendar) somewhat later than the cardinal point.

Focusing on the number of glyphs in the periods of the calendar (which is another matter than the number of glyphs implied by the messages from the glyphs), we find 54 (= 3 * 18) in the 2nd 'year', but 56 (= 2 * 28) in the 1st.

Yet, we have earlier also identified the end of period 16 with autumn equinox:

In the G calendar the situation seems to be different (according to how we so far have interpreted the calendars of E and G), because the hônu arrive at autumn equinox (and not at midsummer):

The differences between the E and G calendars therefore need to be elucidated.

Therefore, the break between the 1st and 2nd 'year' presumably occurs around autumn equinox, not around summer solstice.

The calendar has 18 glyphs between Kb1-1 and the vero perod (17), i.e. one 'quarter' of the 54 + 18 = 72 glyphs beyond Kb1-1 up to and including the '30th' period (which ends with Kb4-18).

In the table at the beginning of this section there are 30 (green) + 8 (red) = 38 glyphs up to and including Kb1-1, and 18? (red) + 30 (blue) + 24 (black) = 72 glyphs beyond Kb1-1 (the last glyph in period 13).

I ought to reorganize the proposed table in the glyph dictionary into just two 'years' with two colours, red for the 1st 'year' and black for the 2nd.

I also ought to delete the number of glyphs in the subdivisions of the calendar I earlier have identified as possibly meaningful.

The resulting table to be inserted into the glyph dictionary instead of the three-coloured misleading one:

The *26 glyphs which I earlier identified as meaningful (30 + *26 = 56) are distributed in 6 periods, and the 5 first periods can be grouped together into a pattern:

We should notice how the redmarked 14th period has an end glyph with head intact, which supports the idea that Kb1-1 marks the end of the 1st 'year'. We also notice how the 'person' is fused together with his henua, and how the 'knee' announces a cardinal point.

The end glyphs in the other 4 periods are the only ones who have lost their heads among all such glyphs in the K calendar.

The pattern above may start already with period number 10:

If so, then we will have 15 glyphs in the group, and the 30 green numbers in the 'misleading table' will be changed into 28.

Before period 10 another group is discernible, in which 'the eating gesture' connects 7 and 8, while 8 and 9 obviously are connected by the 'double-eyed' hau tea:

28 - 6 = 22 is not a mythic number. Therefore the group ought to have more members. However, there is no obvious connection with period 6. Instead periods 4-6 may well be separate entities, nothing obvious seems to connect them:

If periods 4-6 should belong to a group, though, it ought to be together with periods 7-9, because periods 4-9 has 14 glyphs = the number of glyphs in the first 3 periods:

3 Ragi in Ka4-2 and Ka4-4 may indicate that periods 2 and 3 belong together.

Is there not a pattern here? 3 periods give ½ and the following 6 periods give the other ½ of 28 (the number of moon-lit nights in a month). Stop! Let's keep to what the glyphs tell us:

With ragi connecting period 5 to periods 2 and 3 (and by implication also to period 4), it seems possible that we should add period 6 to periods 7-9 and thereby reach the sum 9.

7+12 = 19 and 19 + 9 = 28. On the other hand, in the Mamari moon calendar there are 22 unmarked night glyphs, which connects with 7+12+3 = 22 glyphs for the periods 1-6.

Possibly also the first 10 glyphs in the 6th period carries on with the pattern 2 (red) follwed by 3 (black):

If so, then - beginning with period 10 - there will be 15 + 10 = 25 glyphs in this group, 10 red and 15 black.
