Ab8-38 Ca5-12
maitaki te maitaki

These two glyphs are very similar, you could say identical. How come? I search in Tahua. There are about 35 glyphs of this general sort. Most of them definitely do not look like this. A little group of glyphs are, though, somewhat similar or identical:

Ab8-38 Ab2-70 Ab4-39 Ab5-9 Ab8-59
to compare with somewhat similar somewhat similar somewhat similar identical

All are located on side b, the 'dark' side of Tahua starting with summer solstice.

Next I search in Mamari. There are only four glyphs of this general sort in Mamari and of these not one (except Ca5-12) is similar to Ab8-38.

I did not see the similarity between Ab8-38 and Ca5-12 until I had found the similarity between Ab8-43 and Ca5-20:

Ab8-43 Ca5-20
o te pito motu hakapekaga mai

This is an unusual type of glyph (possibly a variant of GD83) and therefore I tried to find parallel glyphs in the environment. But only Ab8-38 and Ca5-12 were definitely parallel.
