Now we should look again at the kava sign in Ka3-11. Earlier we have noted that there are 36 glyphs from the beginning of line a2 to the 'fire generator' in Ka3-14, and then comes Rei initiating a calendar with 29 periods:
Ka3-11 Ka3-12 Ka3-13 Ka3-14 Ka3-15
33 34 35 36 1

The lying down kava sign in Ka3-11 presumably indicates another perspective than the vertical kava in Aa8-31. Possibly the perspective in K is the moon rather than the sun. Not only are there 29 periods beyond Rei in Ka3-15 but we have also noticed the 'moon bird' in Ka3-17:

Ka3-15 Ka3-16 Ka3-17 Ka3-18 Ka3-19 Ka3-20 Ka3-21
1 2 3 4 5 6 7

The 1st of the 29 periods has 7 glyphs, also a sign of the moon.

Since I wrote this page things have become more complicated, there is another 'fire generator' earlier in the text:

Ka1-1 Ka1-2 Ka1-3 Ka1-4 Ka1-5 Ka1-6

According to Barthel's description of glyph line Ka1 the text has not been destroyed at the very beginning of the line - the first four glyphs were always 'spooky'. The first glyph line on side a has 19 visible glyphs and 5 not visible (destroyed or never having been there):

Ka1-7 Ka1-8 Ka1-9 Ka1-10 Ka1-11 Ka1-12
Probably ca 4 destroyed glyphs here.
*Ka1-17 *Ka1-18
...
*Ka1-20 *Ka1-21 *Ka1-22 *Ka1-23 *Ka1-24

The glyph distance between Ka1-5 and Ka3-14 can be estimated as *19 (a1) + 22 (a2) + 13 (a3) = 54 (= 2 * 27). Clearly there were destroyed glyphs between Ka1-12 and *Ka1-17. But it is not certain that there ever was a glyph between *Ka1-18 and *Ka1-20. The ordinal number (19) could indicate a kind of pito.

The ordinal numbers in Ka3-14 may allude to π, especially as it is glyph number 36 from the beginning of line Ka2. It is also number 60 from Ka1-1.

192 - 36 (Ka3-14) = 156 = 12 * 13.

Ka1 has 4 'ghost' glyphs at the beginning, then follows approximately 20 glyphs. Ka2 is connected to Ka1 by the fact of viri (Ka2-5) being number 29. If we count from Ka1-5 it is Ka2-9 which will be number 29. Then follows Rei in Ka2-10.

Between Rei in Ka2-10 and Rei in Ka3-15 there are 12 (Ka2) + 14 (Ka3) = 26 glyphs.

A dark season appears to begin at Ka3-5:
Ka3-5 Ka3-6 Ka3-7 Ka3-8
27 28 29 30
Ka3-9 Ka3-10 Ka3-11 Ka3-12 Ka3-13 Ka3-14
31 32 33 34 35 36

The 27th 'station' is when the old fire must be swept out (peau) and the 27th glyph is an upside down fish. Combining the upside down fish signs in the Mamari moon calendar (where they mean descending moon) with the 'recycling station' (henua ora) we will understand the meaning of the fish at 27:

Ka3-5 henua ora Ca7-29

Pure at the elbow of the moon bird in Ka3-7 (notice 7 and 29) indicates the old 'fire' has left. Likewise the 'nut' at bottom in the henua ora sign has disappeared in Ka3-5 - it was needed for regenerating the 'fire' (light and life being basically the same, eating and dying).

The rising fish in Ka3-1 has his mouth closed. A 'nut' head possibly is intended:
