The creator of the G text did not normally use the method of 'splitting glyphs' as used at Aa2-45--46:
Glyphs with vacant spaces in the middle occur at one place in G, though:
Here, indeed, Ga8-9 and Ga8-12 are split up glyphs, by which I mean there is a non-closed perimeter. Maybe we ought to put it into our high summer map:
180 is counted from Gb8-30 and I have not noticed it before. It explains where kiore - henua glyphs are located, up to the end of the 1st half (360-day) year. The last 26 of these days sun is no longer climbing noticeably. The first kiore - henua is Ga3-5, and measuring we find that 180 = 64 + 116:
To return to the split up glyphs, one should note 210 at Ga8-6, maybe expressing the end of a 3rd 70-day period:
210 could indicate a division of the 360-day year into 210 days + 150 days, 7 + 5 months. If so, then probably it is summer (honu) which has 7 months, possibly:
But even though we have mapped 3 times 70 days the periods do not agree with 210 at Ga8-6. |
