Regarding these two glyphs I suddenly realize that we should not only look at their numbers, 6 + 6 = 12 (perhaps alluding to the number of months in a year?), and their length, one on each glyph being shorter (perhaps telling of the times when Mars is far away and faint), but we should also observe their direction.

It surely is a sign that all markings are not straight to the right, but pointing slightly upwards.

The same sign is visible in Large Santiago. This sign reminds me of the upward markings in the first glyph of Sunday. It feels like a sign of high status, cheek held high.
