Ideas: 1. This probably shows an ornament (rei) in the form of a wooden collar (rei miro). Possibly such wooden collars are imitations of Gibson's gorget. Imitations of foreign objects are part of humanity. 2. But rei miro do not show the signs looking like half-moons towards the left in the glyph. For the moment I presume that they indeed are showing half-moons. The form of rei miro is also moon-like. 3. The form of rei miro reminds me of the helmet ornaments of samurai warriors, the Japanese emperor's instruments of death. Saturn means death - and therefore also (re-)birth. Without new births there would be no more deaths. No harvest without sowing. There are glyphs which seem to show this ornament not hanging on the chest but instead placed on top of the head. And some without head, as if it had been chopped off:
4. The moon is connected with water and to travel on water you need a canoe. The Polynesians had canoes with ends high in the air, not unlike the form of rei miro.
