I am approaching my point. Underneath the months there are 'Earth and Sky' and 'Moon House' signs. Whereas 'Earth and Sky' look the same in August/October as in January/May the 'Moon House' is differently depicted in different months:

March 0
February/April 2
November/July 3

The numbers say how far away from the equinoxes the months are located on the Sun Door. Place 1 (August/October) has the sign 'Earth and Sky' and so has place 4, whereas the solstice months (December/June) have no such sign (and spring equinox - September - has the curious creature we have seen).

The 'Moon House' sign cannot have anything to do with how high in the sky sun reaches as its maximum during the days of the different months, because then this sign in February would have been larger (or at least been different from) this sign in April, and the same reasoning is valid for November/July.

The only criterion I can imagine is how quick sun changes its positions at the horizon. It is slower in November/July than in February/April, and it moves at its quickest in March (and September). Therefore I believe that 'Moon House' shows a measure of movement ('life force' if you will). My guess is that the creators of the rongorongo system of writing have seen this Sun Door and used a version of the 'Moon House' in the form of the 'holes' in GD24. At the horizon sun looks very big and moves very quickly, an optic effect that is 'reality'. (This interpretation of 'Moon House' and GD24 does not invalidate any of the others I have suggested earlier.)
