 In 4a2 there are 4 glyphs with hands and immediately I think of the 4 seasons and their attributes:
The first half-year sun is increasing, then we turn around and look in the other direction. The second half-year sun is giving away, first in the form of hua, later giving up altogether. The strange appendages on the back of the summer glyph perhaps illustrate the greenery growing.
