In all
three texts all four
ends of the 'cross' are
closed. There are
variants with one or
more open ends, for
instance in
Keiti. Surely
closed henua are
different from open
ones. We have in Ga2-21
an example with one
closed henua and
three open. Could
this glyph mean that the
first quarter is closed,
finished? If that is the
system, then the three
above are positioned on
the old year - all
quarters closed.
We find
some evidence in the
31st period of the
calendar of the year in
G / K. It looks like
'winter' (G)
respectively the old
year (K) are 'dying'
(light hands hanging
