These words of Metoro, raua and
tutu, what do they mean? I have found a list of
words at this internet site:
http://www.rongorongo.org/vanaga/a.html
There I could see that tutu among other things means to light a fire; he-tutu i te ahi: to burn something. The word raua was not explained in any useful way. But the little word ka in ko raua ka tutu could be ká = to light a fire in order to cook in the earth oven: he-ká i te umu, he-ká i te kai. This word could also be used figuratively: to fire up the soul. To put oneself in a fury: ku-ká-á toona manava he has become furious. Like a warrior ready to fight I thought.
