This is the 20th and last glyph in what I have called the 1st period. It is different from the similar glyphs in the year of Large Santiago Tablet, in that it has nothing growing at right, cfr e.g. Ga3-5:
Are we looking at a person sitting and singing in front of a rongorongo tablet? If so, what is growing at right? A tale? At the end of each period (both in the text of Large Santiago and that in Keiti) we find this type of glyph. It is interesting to note that in all three 'year-texts' (in Large Santiago, Large St Petersburg and Keiti) this 'end-glyph' shows variations over the periods. It means there are signs to be observed. At this point of the discussion we will concentrate on Keiti. I have made a table showing all these glyphs. |
