This glyph presumably is to be compared with Aa7-43:

Aa7-28 Aa7-29 Aa7-42 Aa7-43
4 5

The oval ('egg') dropped from the uplifted arm in front perhaps would evolve into the uplifted arm in Aa7-43?

In Aa7-29 the two rightmost vertical lines of the trunk are very close, which reminds me of Ab1-11 and -51. If we exclude Aa8-7 (possibly the very first in a sequence of 8 representing Matariki i raro) then we could here perhaps see a sign (the middle and the right vertical lines close to each other) showing i raro, and an opposite sign (with the middle and the left vertical lines close) for i nika.

If that is what is intended, then we might expect more signs in the same vein. We would for instance expect that (in raro where there seems to be signs of this kind) equinox to be visualized by the left line being far from vertical, but at a solstices to be close to vertical. And indeed that seems to be so.

Finally, we should not miss how the head formed as ragi here has changed into the head of a Shark.
