59 = Number of nights in a
double-month, also explained by 5 in the
ninth period where one month of the two is
missing a beat, where the moon is 'limping'.
20 = twice ten, base of
counting, also explained as 4 * 5
68 = (9 + 7) [i.e. 16]
+ 4 * (7 + 6) [i.e. 4 * 13 = 52 =
number of weeks (7) in a year]. Notice that 13
is indicated by pairing, connecting the
'flat' 7-glyph in period no. 3 with the
'flat' 6-glyph in period no. 8.
40 (?) is composed, I believe,
from 8 terms, divided into two groups: 6 + 5
+ 4 + 5 = 20 respectively 6 + 6 + 6 + 2 =
40. This idea of mine is based on my
interpretation of the missing glyphs in the
H text as misleading. The creator (or
redesigner) of the H
text seems to have used the area of his
wooden tablet in a creative way.
... There are 12 + 12
= 24 rows on this tablet, which has been
damaged by fire (see upper left) ...
