The 'otherworld' is difficult to get a grip on. The light of understanding does not reach that far. At most the borderlines may be studied and grasped. Inspired by what I just read in The Arctic Sky, I would like now and here to document some ideas about the early 'morning'.

When reading a myth or legend we are able to notice 'marks', strange features which seem to be there for no good reason, as if the 'story' was 'contaminated' by some old stuff from which only the 'bare bones' still remain. Or are they not there in order to make us think? Clues?

In some preliminary remarks about P I have stated that this sun has not yet climbed above the horizon, but that already its light rays are visible.

The only one with clothes on may now go sealing. I happen to know that 'seal' is closely related to 'soul', because in old Swedish language 'säl' (seal) was 'själ', a word which today only covers 'soul' (kuhane). And 'the only one' is a 'sole' person. The thin part between us and the earth is also a 'sole'. There is a nest of mystery here. Not only do myths and legends contain matters to ponder about, but also langage.
