The central sun-god image is lifted up above a band of other similar (though not identical) images of him:
Posnansky has written August above the one closest to the equinox point. This band of images represent the stations of the sun in different months. Spring equinox is located in Semptember south of the equator and this month is represented by the big top image, while autumn equinox, in March, is placed directly below. That leaves us with 12 - 2 = 10 months. Logic tells us that these 10 months should be located 5 at left and 5 at right. At the same time the idea of one image above and one below - as we have seen at the equinox months - has been followed. To the right of spring equinox we find August and then comes May down below at the same level as March. August is not as high as September, because spring equinox is the central point of the year. It is impossible to locate August above May without destroying the high position of September. This system is then followed towards the right (and at left the band is mirrored):
