A time of birth it is, the very dark nights between the old and the new year. Eggs and small chicken is the obvious way to describe this.

In the old Egyptian conception of the year there were 5 days outside the official calendar of 360 days and during these 'dark' nights five gods were born.

Who were these five gods? I believe that they were the four 'bacabs' and their oldest brother, the central pillar.

The Cheops pyramid is a map of the northern hemisphere. It has four corners and from these four corners rise up the 'bacabs'; up to the top of the pyramid where they join their central pillar, the axis of rotation, the 'ruler' of the era (henua).

Then, on top of the pyramidal shape, we find the bennu bird, presumably our 'manu':
