This unusual and strange glyph type does not appear in Tahua. The 'staring eyes' arranged as in a sign of infinity (∞) is a prominent feature. I have, anyhow, in a prelimary manner assigned these glyphs as possible candidates for GD71 (Aa2-6, Aa2-41 and Ab7-25):
But the first two glyphs (evidently belonging together) are rather cases of GD83:
The top part of GD83, if inverted, looks like the bottom bart of GD71. In Ab7-25 (above) I saw the 'staring eyes' alluded to, but an allusion of that kind is more probably pointing at GD24:
Aruku Kurenga (B) No glyphs are found. Mamari (C) No glyphs are found. Échancrée (D) No glyphs are found.
Keiti (E) Eb6-24 is the prototype for GD71:
Ea2-17 and Ea3-3 maybe are alluding to GD71:
The rest of the texts The texts above have been used as a kind of 'test ground' to see if the definitions could be used. For the rest of the texts the same principles have been used, although less stringently. The experiences gained have been relied upon rather than what is written above about what characterizes the glyph type. There may be a few extra glyph added, which would not have been so with a strict application of the written definitions. On the other hand there has been no attempt to ignore glyphs which according to the written definitions ought to belong to the glyph type. |
