2. We will now discuss the first glyph in the line. Its 'elbow ornament' connects it with the 'bird' in Eb7-15, where we can see a smaller version of the ornament at left:
Not only do we have hipu in Eb7-2 connecting with toa in Eb7-8, but we have also Rogo (as I will call it) in Eb7-1 connecting with manu rere in Eb7-15. It is just to be expected if these 16 glyphs are to form some kind of overview of a 'year'. Time can be counted in different ways. We could for instance imagine the 7-glyph long distance (Eb7-2--8) as the first half of the year and the 15-glyph long distance (Eb7-1--15) as the whole year. Rogo in Eb7-1 and manu rere in Eb7-15 are both carrying additional signs. We can compare with my standard glyph types:
