There were probably 392 glyphs on side a of the C tablet. The last glyph should therefore be in right ascension day 183 (September 20) + 392 - 365 = 210 (October 17), i.e. 27 days later in the year. However, the rongorongo writers seem to have counted with 366 (= 2 * 183) instead of 365 in order to keep their nakshatra dates in proper order.
For instance should the nakshatra date corresponding to heliacal oJULY 28 (209) be equal to 209 + 183 - 366 = 392 - 366 = 26 (oJANUARY 26), when Polaris would have risen with the Sun - according to my (and probably also the rongorongo writers) simple extrapolations disregarding the proper motion of a star:

Early I had assumed the beginning of the C text was at the current (at the time of rongorongo) northern spring equinox with Polaris at the end of side a. However, the honu glyphs at the end of side a and at the beginning of side b clearly demonstrate a continuity, and the (Dry Earth) Turtle should also on Easter Island have represented the opposite side of the sky compared to the Water accumulated in the Underworld:
... An iconographic study by Jeff Kowalski suggests a cosmological layout for the Nunnery. The higher placement of the North Building, with its 13 exterior doorways (reflecting the 13 layers of heaven), and the celestial serpents surmounting the huts identify it with the celestial sphere. The iconography of the West Building, with 7 exterior doorways (7 is the mystic number of the earth's surface), and figures of Pawahtun - the earth god as a turtle - indicate this to be the Middleworld, the place of the sun's descent into the Underworld. The East Building has mosaic elements reflecting the old war cult of Teotihuacan, where tradition had it that the sun was born; thus, this may also be Middleworld, the place of the rising sun. Finally, the South Building has 9 exterior doorways (the Underworld or Xibalba had 9 layers), and has the lowest placement in the compex; it thus seems to be associated with death and the nether regions ...
There were 2 basic lists of prominent stars, first one beginning early in the northern year and ending at Spica (Ana-roto) whereas the second one was beginning at Spica:

The Head of Ku (Rishu Ku) was beginning at the First Point of Aries (Sheratan, β Arietis), which in rongorongo times corresponded to April 17 (*27), i.e. to day number 80 + 27 = 107, where 107 could have been regarded as the difference between 8 double synodic lunar months - as 8 * 59 = number of day positions on the G tablet - and the 365 days of the Sun year.
183 days later the Head of Ku could be seen close to the Full Moon, nakshatra wise indicating that the Sun was now rising together with Muphrid (η Bootis) in day *27 + 183 = *210 (October 17, 290).
At the time when the equinoctial colure was at Elnath (β Tauri) - rising 2 days after Rigel (β Orionis) - this was 80 precessional days earlier than March 21. Heliacal Sirrah should at that ancient time have been in oDECEMBER 31.
... Fanciful, assuredly, but neither the Milky Way nor the terrestrial Ganges offered any basis for the imagery of a river flowing to the four quarters of the earth 'for the purification of the three worlds'. One cannot get away from the 'implex' and it is now necessary to consider the tale of a new skeleton map, alias skambha: the equinoctial colure had shifted to a position where it ran through stars of Auriga and through Rigel. Skambha, as we have said, was the World Tree consisting mostly of celestial coordinates, a kind of wildly imaginative armillary sphere. It all had to shift when one coordinate shifted ...
