The 5th moon period is beginning with another type of bird than the other periods and in Ca7-27 a peculiar reversed marama could illustrate how the light of waxing moon (bottom) changes beyond full moon into a darker face. The moon fishes are descending from the 5th period:

The 7th period ends with Gregorian day 300 (i.e. 220 days beyond March 21). October 22 (where we count 10 * 22 = 220) has a special manu rere and the day coincides with the end of 10 synodic lunar months from January 1.
