Line a6 has 28 glyphs, perhaps to be in harmony with the 'calendar of the month' which is beginning in this line and continuing through both lines a7 and a8 to finish early in the 9th line. If line a5 refers to Sun, then the next line indeed ought to refer to Moon. This logic leads us to think of line a1 as related to Mercury (quite in order according to my colour scheme). There is first a group with 4 + 16 = 20 glyphs:
These 20 glyphs are divided into 4 subgroups with 7, 3, 4, respectively 6 glyphs. 7 + 3 + 4 = 14 and then follows a special 4th group. 61 * 6 = 366 suggests the old Sun year could end in August 24. A rule of Moon could begin in the following night and with glyph number 157 (= 314 / 2 = 12 * 13 + 1):
The last 4 glyphs in line a6 should connect to the beginning of line a7 and they will therefore be presented on the next page. |
