1. The constellation Eridanus is stretching long:

Achernar (α) is very far down and rising already in the 2nd hour, but once it was Acamar (ε) which was regarded as the beginning of the 'river'. Possibly the creator of the G text could have regarded Acamar as the beginning rather than Achernar:

Gb8-17 (**8) Gb8-26 (**17) Ga1-12 Ga1-13 (**36) Ga1-14 (15)

Yet, 432 = 472 - 40, and Gb8-10 comes 20 days later than Gb7-21.

We now have to deal wíth δ (Rana), γ (Zaurak), and ζ (Zibal), all of them higher up and in the 4th hour (which has become rather crowded with stars):

Zaurak stands out, because 467 is a whole number and 15 days later than Acamar. Or 35 days later than Achernar. Furthermore, 03h 56m = 236m, or if we add another 4 minutes = 240.

Maybe Zaurak marks the end of the 4th hour. 240 minutes is 1/6 of 24 hours and possibly the right ascension circuit is to be regarded as divided into 6 periods with 4 hours in each. 35 signifies fully grown and mature.

... Seven lustra add up to thirty-five years, and thirty-five at Rome was the age at which a man was held to reach his prime and might be elected Consul. (The same age was fixed upon by a Classically-minded Convention as the earliest at which an American might be elected President of the United States.) ...
